Assessment of the Administrative Mechanism (AAM)

The Health Council conducts an annual assessment of the administrative efficiency of the Part A grantee and Part B lead agency charged with receiving, awarding, and managing approximately $15 million in federal funds from the Ryan White Care Act. The assessment is conducted annually to assure that local grant administrators adhere to federal requirements (HRSA) regulating the timely and efficient selection, retention, payment and monitoring of local HIV/AIDS service providers. The Health Council works with a committee of the Ryan White Care Council to determine the methodology and timeline used to assess the administrative efficiency of local grant administrators.
