Care Council Member Training

Health Council staff designs and conducts training programs for volunteer members of the West Central Florida Ryan White Care Council and its nine committees. The trainings include new member orientation, annual education and leadership development retreats, and technical training on specific work products. Past topics include:

  • The purpose of the Ryan White Care Act
  • Conducting focus groups
  • Role of committee chairs
  • Comprehensive health planning
  • Needs assessment
  • Team building
  • Conflict resolution

Staff uses training manuals, PowerPoint presentations, guest presenters and other tools to insure that Care Council members have the knowledge they need to carry out their mandated duties under this federally-funded program.
